Prints & Slit!

Hello! I hope you had a nice weekend.  I attended a fun event hosted by one of the city’s local magazines.  I also reviewed some of my school notes for my job which I’ll be starting tomorrow.  In the field of nursing/medicine, I think continuous education is a necessity and reviewing never hurts.

Anyway, I was happy to receive this bag from Debisi.  It can be called an Ankara bag or African inspired bag because of the African fabrics, prints used which are usually bold/bright.  Because it’s a printed blue bag, I paired it with this slit blue skirt, but kept the rest of the look more neutral keeping the focus on the bag.  I think adding a printed accessory to an outfit is one way to make the look pop.

    You won't believe this but when I saw your post show up on my feed the first thing I thought was "is this the blue asos skirt I'm dying over?" lol It looks great on you! I've had it in my cart forever, I'm just a little worried that it'll be too long on me, since I'm 5'3" I love how you styled it.
